This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Construction Manager /Inspector
for our Glastonbury, CT office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
- Provide construction management inspection for multi-trade contracts to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the contract requirements.
- Ensuring that timely decisions are made to keep projects on schedule and within budgeted costs while meeting clients' needs.
- Perform inspections, prepare construction reports and expedite the execution of contracts and supervise inspectors.
- Maintain a written daily log of project progress, actions performed, contractor's workforce, materials approvals and deliveries and issues on the job site.
- Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, conduct meetings and communicate with team members in various roles as necessary.
- Monitor contractor safety operations and coordinate with Regional Safety Manager as needed.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum BS in Construction Management/Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering Technology
- Minimum of (3) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects, including supervision
- Strong communications skills and collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
- Strong interpersonal leadership skills
- OSHA - 30
