GEHMS Long Term Temporary Art Teacher
Position will start on August 25 with a tentative end date of January 18, 2027.
Responsibilities- Arrive at 8:30 for morning duty at 8:40
- Plan projects and organize supplies for implementing the National Core Arts Standards for pre K3-Grade 6 that prioritizes student choice
- Assist the reading specialist in literacy groups as needed
- Teach whole group Art classes PreK, K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
- Collect and store materials
- Day ends at 3:45
- Collaborate with essentialist team during team meeting time allotted as well as attend staff meetings on Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45
- Modify projects and materials for students with diverse abilities and needs
- Provide consistent expectations aligned with school rules
- Facilitate the creation of a safe, welcoming environment for students
- CT Teacher Certification required
- Experience with elementary aged children
- Qualified candidates should have teaching experience as well as professional experience or content knowledge in Art.
