As an Assistant Director, you are a TLE Happiness Ambassador who plays an essential role in creating a happy, safe, and nurturing environment where children can Learn, Play, and Grow. You will work closely with the Center Director to support daily operations, lead and develop the teaching team, build strong relationships with families, and ensure every child receives a high-quality care and learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Center Director with the daily operations and overall success of the center.
  • Lead, support, coach, and motivate teachers and classroom staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, and maintaining appropriate ratios.
  • Support curriculum implementation, classroom management, and high-quality learning environments.
  • Work in the classroom as needed to support children and staff.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
  • Support family communication, tours, enrollment, events, and customer satisfaction.
  • Help ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, TLE policies, and health and safety standards.
  • Assist with attendance, staff and child records, timekeeping, inventory, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Support billing, enrollment, and other business-related responsibilities as needed.
  • Partner with the Center Director to identify opportunities for improvement and achieve center goals.
  • Serve as a positive role model and TLE Happiness Ambassador, creating an environment where Happy Happens Here.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a Lead Teacher or in a childcare leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of child development, classroom management, and early childhood best practices.
  • Knowledge of childcare regulations and licensing requirements with a commitment to compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and family engagement skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Must meet all applicable state requirements for the position.
