906C. Housed in a separate, dedicated space, the stand-alone business offers maintenance, repair and overhaul services under Limited Accessories for Airframe and Engine components. Additional product categories are planned to be added in the future as the footprint for the business expands.
The initial focus for HABCO MRO is concentrating on the core competencies of the parent company: HABCO Industries. The focus is on the repair of products requiring actuation, temperature, pressure and air/oil flow. This is currently where HABCO MRO can add the most value based on years of experience in manufacturing and servicing these products. As always, safety is held to the highest standard, and all work we perform is in accordance with the guidelines stipulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
** About the role
** The Chief Inspector is responsible for ensuring the repair station operates in full compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company quality standards. This position oversees inspection activities, return-to-service authorization, quality systems, technical data control, training, audits, calibration programs, and safety compliance in accordance with FAA-approved procedures and repair station manuals. This is primarily a quality and inspection individual contributor role with the opportunity to engage in hands-on technical work in a small, team-oriented repair station environment.
Strong candidates demonstrate initiative, communication skills both written and verbal, and an aptitude for compliance & process efficiency.
** Key Responsibilities
** Ensure compliance with applicable CFRs, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), FAA-approved data, and customer requirements related to maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities.
Maintain current and accessible technical data, including maintenance manuals, overhaul manuals, instructions for continued airworthiness, service bulletins, standard practices, and other FAA-approved or acceptable data required for work performed by the repair station.
Oversee inspection processes and ensure all maintenance records, inspections, and documentation are accurate, complete, and properly reviewed prior to approval for return to service.
Ensure inspectors and repair station personnel are properly trained, qualified, and proficient in approved inspection methods, techniques, equipment, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Develop, maintain, and review employee training records, qualification records, and the repair station roster to ensure personnel changes and training requirements remain current and compliant (within 5 business days).Conduct and maintain internal audits, contractor evaluations, self-evaluations, and quality system reviews to ensure continued regulatory and procedural compliance, including support for Capability List additions.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and inspection devices are properly maintained, calibrated, documented, and approved for use, including determination and documentation of equivalent tooling.
Coordinate FAA inspections, respond to requests involving the repair station certificate, and submit reports of serious failures, malfunctions, or defects in accordance with FAA and company procedures.
Establish and maintain scrap control, safety compliance, fire protection equipment inspections, and other standard operating procedures required to support repair station operations.
Coordinate, distribute, and maintain revisions to repair station manuals, controlled documents, and compliance records to ensure all documentation remains current, accurate, and accessible.
Ensure that Part 121, 125, 129, and 135 customer requirements are obtained, made available and followed by all inspection personnel.
Ensure the availability and currency of technical information required to perform work whenever a new article is introduced for maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration.
