Job Flexibility: GEI has adopted a hybrid workplace environment, allowing workers to choose from working in the office 2 days per week or fully 5 days.

Responsibilities
  • Exemplify commitment to technical excellence balanced with client-expectations and satisfaction.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor.
  • Manage the technical, financial, and client relationship aspects of projects.
  • Serve as a role model of leadership, company culture, and values.
  • Prepare proposals for professional services and develop new business in areas of specialty geotechnical services.
  • Experience with CTDOT projects.
  • Experience with infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in multiple industries.
  • Contribute to strategic planning at the office and regional level.
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required;
    Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to get CT license within one year of employment.
  • Experience working on interdisciplinary design teams and being conversant in a variety of technical fields (e.g., environmental, civil, and structural engineering).
  • 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on short-term assignments as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements

Work environment: sedentary; light and medium physical demands. Activities include standing, walking, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, twisting, reaching, and keyboard use. Travel may be required.

No extensive sensory requirements; hearing and minimal to moderate vision are required.

Employees must be able to maintain 20/40 vision accuracy; very accurate 20/20 for detailed work.
