The ideal candidate will have experience working within construction environments and be comfortable collaborating with project managers, field teams, contractors, and third-party engineering firms to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of critical power infrastructure, including electrical distribution systems, substations, switch gear, power generation equipment, and balance-of-plant electrical systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and approve electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documents for power generation projects.
  • Support electrical infrastructure design including power distribution systems, substations, transformers, switch gear, motor control centers (MCCs), and protective relay systems.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, project managers, contractors, and engineering partners throughout project execution.
  • Conduct design reviews and constructability assessments to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements and field conditions.
  • Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, equipment specifications, and vendor documentation.
  • Support procurement efforts through technical bid evaluations and equipment selection.
  • Perform site visits and field inspections to verify installation quality and ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical design and construction issues during installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NESC, utility requirements, and project-specific standards.
  • Maintain project schedules, technical documentation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
