Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager to lead municipal infrastructure projects and client relationships in the Glastonbury, Connecticut, area.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, designing, and managing projects while ensuring successful completion within established schedules, budgets, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards. Projects will primarily involve municipal civil infrastructure, site planning, permitting, water and wastewater systems, and infrastructure design.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage municipal infrastructure projects throughout the Glastonbury area
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal, civil, water, and wastewater clients
- Manage projects from planning and design through permitting and completion
- Develop professional, cost-effective plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Establish project scopes, schedules, work plans, budgets, and fees
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, financial performance, and quality standards
- Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of engineers, technicians, and designers
- Delegate project responsibilities and provide technical oversight
- Mentor team members and support career development, performance planning, and resource sharing
- Identify business-development and cross-selling opportunities
- Expand existing client relationships during and after project completion
- Collaborate with teams across the organization
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required;
Civil Engineering preferred - Advanced degree in a related area is desirable
- Active Professional Engineer license required
- Minimum of 15 years of related engineering and project management experience
- Documented experience serving municipal, civil, water, or wastewater clients in Connecticut
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, support, and mentor technical professionals
- Strong project, client, and team management skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Strong mathematical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to commute to or relocate to Glastonbury, Connecticut, before starting

The estimated salary range for this position is $133,189–$162,000. Actual compensation will depend on related experience, location, market conditions, education, training, certifications, credentials, skills, and demonstrated proficiency.
