The Judicial Branch - Court Support Services Division (JB-CSSD) is seeking a highly skilled, self-directed Project Manager II to analyze current budget data, gain an understanding of how the information in a variety of spreadsheets and data systems inter- connect, educate the fiscal team on the relationships between data fields and sources, and make recommendations for data tracking improvements.
Scope of Services
- The scope of services required for the Project Manager II includes:
- Collaborating with the fiscal team members
- Analyzing fiscal data to confirm its accuracy
- Reconciling and balancing existing budget spreadsheets
- Verifying spreadsheets are properly linked
- Validating data logic is consistent across multiple systems/spreadsheets
- Comparing data from various systems, such as CORE-CT and JASMIN, to internal spreadsheets to verify their accuracy
- Researching inconsistencies and data gaps
- Making recommendations for spreadsheet updates and revisions
- Educating the fiscal team members about what data is entered in various spreadsheets and helping them understand the relationships across data sources
- Providing frequent status updates to the Deputy Director and Manager of Administrative Services
- Preparing and delivering presentations for agency leadership
- The minimum skills and experience levels required for a candidate to be considered for this position include:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a government accounting or finance environment
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications, with particular emphasis on Excel
- Familiarity with State of CT systems such as JASMIN and CORE-CT, and knowledge of the Connecticut Judicial Branch's budget and procurement processes are a significant plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with limited direction
- Creative idea generating and problem solving
- Ability to synthesize data from a variety of spreadsheets and data sources
- Ability to analyze and aggregate large amounts of data and present the information in an easily digestible, non-technical manner
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
