The Role

Presidio is seeking a Network Engineer to support our client base. This individual will lead small to large projects on their own or as part of a team, including planning, design, and implementation of complex network and security engagements. The role is consultative, providing network engineering services on project work and managing the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.

Travel Requirements

Expected travel up to 25%.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform project‑based engineering, design, staging, installation, validation, testing, and troubleshooting of data/security networks
• Lead complex, large‑scale Network and Security projects
• Create low‑level detailed designs that align with the business strategy, customer’s budget, and operational support capabilities
• Conduct network discoveries
• Perform Network and Security assessments
• Present documentation and engagement deliverables to customers
• Collaborate as part of a multi‑function team with Sales, Pre‑Sales, Project Management, and other delivery/engineering resources
• Resolve complex issues and assist team members in solving deployment problems
• Mentor junior engineering team members to implement secure network solutions
• Execute network maintenance MOP both onsite and remotely with minimal downtime

Required Qualifications

• Experienced expert with complex multi‑protocol routing and switching solutions
• Knowledge of various security parameters and hardening access to devices
• Core routing and switching platform expertise with a focus on design, configuration, and troubleshooting using Cisco Best Practices
• Network design and application skills, including IP addressing design
• OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, redistribution of protocols, and loop prevention
• TCP/IP protocol stack, TCP/IP headers and packets, OSI model, and commonly used TCP/UDP ports and services
• Experience with Aviatrix
• Experience deploying at least one SDWAN solution with Viptela, Silverpeak, or Palo Alto Prisma SDWAN
• Experience implementing security solutions such as Panorama, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, Cisco Security Product Portfolio, FMC Management
• Strong routing and switching troubleshooting skills
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 4–5 years of related project implementation experience

Additional / Preferred Skills / Certifications

• Arista Networking solutions, including Cloud Vision
• Aruba Product Suite
• Experience with Aruba CX and Aruba OS software
• VSX and VSF technologies
• High‑availability configurations
• Automation / scripting:
  Python, EMM and TCL
