Position Overview

Registered Nurse – Glastonbury, CT (Optum Care Delivery). Sign‑on bonus of $1000 for external candidates.

Salary range: $28.94 – $51.63 per hour. Full‑time employment.

• Provide and document patient care, including injections and preventive screenings.
• Triaging patients according to protocols and scheduling guidelines.
• Prepare patients for providers by collecting and recording clinical information.
• Educate patients on illness, injury and self‑management of their conditions.
• Carry out standing orders (e.g., prescription refills, ordering tests) per practice policies.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Conduct outreach to patients, communicate test results, and follow up after appointments to ensure adherence to care plans.
• Answer and document patient phone calls; forward messages to providers as needed via the EHR.
• Monitor task buckets to respond to tasks, follow up on overdue orders, and monitor critical referral status.
• Complete annual CLIA competencies in coordination with the Regional Nurse Manager.
• Support the Clinical Lead and serve as a resource for other clinical staff.
• Precept new clinical team members.
• Maintain open communication with the care team and management.
• Stay current with coding, OSHA, CLIA regulations, and company policies.
• Adhere to patient safety initiatives and infection control regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in Connecticut.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• BSN degree.
• Experience with Epic.
• Experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
