Responsibilities:
Infection Prevention and Control:
Develop, implement, and oversee the facility's infection control program. Ensure best practices are followed to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases.Staff Education and Training:
Conduct staff training on infection control protocols and practices. Provide regular updates based on the latest healthcare guidelines.Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor the facility's adherence to infection control standards and regulatory requirements. Work closely with the nursing team and other departments to ensure full compliance.Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and report infection data. Recommend changes or improvements to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.Policy Development:
Update and maintain infection control policies and procedures to reflect the latest industry standards. Ensure all staff are informed of changes promptly.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must possess a current RN license in the state of Connecticut.Experience:
Experience in infection prevention and control within a healthcare facility is highly preferred.Skills:
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; proficiency in infection control best practices.Certifications:
Certification in infection prevention and control is advantageous.
