Responsibilities:

• Infection Prevention and Control:
  Develop, implement, and oversee the facility's infection control program. Ensure best practices are followed to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases.

• Staff Education and Training:
  Conduct staff training on infection control protocols and practices. Provide regular updates based on the latest healthcare guidelines.

• Compliance Monitoring:
  Monitor the facility's adherence to infection control standards and regulatory requirements. Work closely with the nursing team and other departments to ensure full compliance.

• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  Collect, analyze, and report infection data. Recommend changes or improvements to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.

• Policy Development:
  Update and maintain infection control policies and procedures to reflect the latest industry standards. Ensure all staff are informed of changes promptly.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  Must possess a current RN license in the state of Connecticut.

• Experience:
  Experience in infection prevention and control within a healthcare facility is highly preferred.

• Skills:
  Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; proficiency in infection control best practices.

• Certifications:
  Certification in infection prevention and control is advantageous.
