Job Title:

Scientist 2 – Project Scientist

Annual Expected Pay Range: $65,000 – $75,000 USD

Location: Northeast Division, USA

As a Scientist 2 – Project Scientist, you will gather and analyze environmental data, conduct field sampling, support remediation projects, and collaborate with staff and management on reporting tasks.

• Collect soil, water, and/or air media utilizing different sampling techniques.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
• Assist with due diligence (ASTM Phase I) projects.
• Assist with Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations (RSR), Release Base Cleanup Regulations (RBCRs) and Property Transfer Program-based reports, including investigations, remedial action plans, verifications, and status reports.
• Actively develop your own career growth opportunities, including field and reporting tasks.
• Work directly with staff and management-level team members on field and reporting responsibilities.

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and familiarity with CTDEEP regulatory reporting.
• The ability to multitask effectively, maintain safety awareness, and have a good record of safe work practices.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving history and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
