Overview
One of our clients who is a leading designer, marketer and distributor of home appliances and commercial kitchen appliances is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their growing team in Glen Allen, VA (hybrid schedule). This Senior Accountant will play a key role on a lean corporate accounting team, owning general ledger activity, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter who can independently prepare journal entries, manage fixed assets and CIP, and partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate accounting treatment of transactions.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on GL work, digging into variances, and leveraging ERP systems to support high-quality financial reporting while working on-site with the team Tuesday through Thursday.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of monthly and quarterly close processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions
- Lead fixed asset processes, including monthly entries, capital project spend approvals, and tracking/reporting of Construction in Progress (CIP) balances
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Analyze financial results and provide insights on variances and trends
- 5–7 years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on general ledger accounting
- Experience supporting month-end close and reconciliations in a corporate environment
- ERP experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relative working experience
Salary: $90,000-$105,000 (flexible based on experience)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Hybrid
Schedule:
Tuesday-Thursday onsite, Monday and Friday remote
Hiring Method: 6 month contract to permanent full-time hire (can be sooner depending on performance)

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
