Accounting Manager; Hybrid | Real Estate

A well-established, employee-owned organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its team for a newly created role. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is ready to take on a leadership role.

• Oversee and review monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of properties and related entities.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Help resolve complex accounting issues and serve as a resource for the accounting team.
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Assist with year-end audit and tax requirements.
• Coordinate the accounting transition of new and departing properties.
• Partner with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or review experience.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with financial statement preparation/review, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Real estate or property management experience is strongly preferred. Public accounting professionals with significant real estate client exposure are encouraged to apply.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with MRI or Yardi is a plus.
• CPA is preferred but not required.

• $90K-135K base salary + 8% annual bonus
• Hybrid schedule: 4 days in the office / 1 day from home
