We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Our team mandate is simple: we aim to bridge the gap between real-world system data and generate innovative capabilities and provide consumable business intelligence to help steer the future of how we monitor and manage the grid.
Our team is responsible for the capture, utilization, and application of time-series data. Our work is to steward this data and ensure its analysis and outputs influence our business and the industry to adapt and meet the demands of shifting energy landscape. We seek the curious, the self-motivated, and those driven by the pursuit of driving change.
As part of the Strategic Initiatives team within Electric Transmission, this role focuses on the delivery and communication of load forecasting insights. You will work closely with forecast modelers, data engineers, and a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that forecast outputs are transformed into clear, compelling, and actionable information. A successful candidate will:
- Problem Frame Effectively: Establish the right questions to ask of our data products and ensure work aligns with stakeholder needs.
- Serve as the Engagement Keystone: Bridge between technical modeling teams and customers of our forecasts; distill complex data into clear products for engineers, planners, and regulators.
- Develop Targeted Data Products & Visualizations: Produce dashboards, ad-hoc reports, and executive presentations to present forecasts in accessible formats.
- Tell Compelling Stories with Data: Craft narratives that connect analysis to business needs and actions.
- Provide a Feedback Loop: Engage with data engineers and modelers to identify data gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Quality, Consistency, and Alignment: Validate assumptions, investigate anomalies, and ensure deliverables are explainable and production-ready.
5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in electric power systems. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering thinking and systems analysis to understand the context and implications of forecast data. Additional skills required include:
- Python & Excel Analysis: Python is the primary tool for analysis and modeling; strong Excel skills are also valuable.
- Data Visualization (Power BI preferred): Create dashboards and visual narratives that make complex data accessible.
- Advanced Storytelling: Present forecasts to leadership and external stakeholders; build meaningful stories relevant to the audience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills: Listen actively, build trust with customers, and work across business units to deliver value.
- Critical thinking and problem framing: Challenge assumptions and focus on meaningful questions for forecast work.
- Utility domain knowledge: Understanding how forecasts are used in grid operations, planning, and regulatory reporting; integrity and accountability are essential.
For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met:
- Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, or
- Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from outside the U.S. recognized under the Washington Accord, or
- Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET) with a related postgraduate engineering degree, or
