Project Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer to support the execution of engineering-driven manufacturing projects. The role focuses on coordinating fabrication, installation, and production-related work, while also engaging with clients and identifying opportunities to improve project scope and delivery. Projects must be delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Execute manufacturing and engineering projects from kickoff through completion.
+ Collaborate with engineering, drafting, fabrication, and operations teams to deliver project outcomes.
+ Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
+ Coordinate activities related to equipment installation, fabrication processes, and facility improvements.
+ Act as the primary liaison between engineering teams, shop floor personnel, vendors, and clients.
+ Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
+ Support procurement coordination, vendor management, and material flow.
+ Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards, quality requirements, and safety protocols.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives tied to production efficiency, throughput, and cost reduction.
+ Provide regular updates on project timelines, deliverables, and operational impact.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and project stakeholders.
+ Identify opportunities to expand project scope, improve delivery, or support additional client needs.
+ Partner with leadership to support proposals, quotes, and project scoping efforts.
+ Provide technical input during client discussions to align engineering solutions with business objectives.
+ Support repeat business by ensuring high-quality project execution and client satisfaction.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
+ 4-8+ years of experience in manufacturing, project engineering, or industrial environments.
+ Strong background supporting engineering-focused manufacturing or fabrication projects.
+ Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
+ Familiarity with fabrication, mechanical systems, piping, or industrial production processes.
+ Comfort interacting with clients and supporting project-related business discussions.
+ Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Excel, MS Project, or similar.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ background in sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing is a plus.
Work Environment
The role involves working in an office suite for 40 hours a week, typically from 8 am to 5 pm. There is some opportunity for overtime. Initially, the position will require three days in the office and two days remote. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.88/hr.
