OpportunityIT Support Technician will be responsible for direct end user technical support for the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) contract by providing comprehensive IT support for end users at customer sites throughout Virginia and the surrounding areas. Installs, maintains, and repairs products such as equipment, integrated systems, and software at the client and/or field locations. Instructs customers in equipment operation, provides technical assistance, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment for malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
HowYou’ll Make An Impact
- Provide technical / IT support for Commonwealth of Virginia
- Responsible for system updates, ticketing and asset management
- Perform break/fix software & hardware support (including OEM-certified warranty repair)
- Support end users that remotely access services (including shipping replacement devices, leveraging 3rd party hardware repair or other forms of onsite support)
- Provide support remotely via remote administration tools as well as onsite / desk side
- Imaging of Commonwealth devices
- Provide support for Windows operating system, software/application support, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, system restorations, etc.
- Provide after-hours and weekend support (When needed)
- Lead projects
- You're experienced with leading projects
- You're experienced with troubleshooting Hardware (laptops/desktops)
- A valid driver’s license
- A self-driven attitude
- A keen eye for recognizing problems and pushing resolutions
- A critical thinker who can think outside the box
- Ability to communicate complicated resolutions to everyday end users and internal teams
- Ability to empathize with customers
- You have experience with scripting
- Prior experience with working with vendors (i.e: Dell, HP, or Apple products)
Travel varies depending on tickets and technical skillset.
Compensation and Benefit InformationThe salary range for this position is$25-30/hourly
. This range reflects the anticipated base pay for the position and is not a guarantee of final compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, contract requirements, and business needs.
Iron Bow Technologies reserves the right to fill this role at a different level, depending on qualifications and organizational priorities. This range represents only one component of Iron Bow’s total compensation package. An overview of our benefits is available on our careers page.
