Seneca Resources is seeking a JIRA Administrator / Agile Coach to support a large enterprise technology organization within the banking and financial services sector
. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional who combines deep hands-on JIRA administration expertise with strong Agile coaching capabilities
.

The successful candidate will lead the modernization, governance, and standardization of enterprise JIRA boards and workflows
, while guiding teams and leadership on Agile best practices across Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks
. This role plays a critical part in strengthening Agile maturity, improving delivery predictability, and ensuring consistent Agile tooling practices across technology teams.

This position offers the opportunity to work with enterprise Agile tools, cross-functional technology teams, and leadership stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of current JIRA configurations, workflows, and usage across teams
  • Lead modernization and standardization of JIRA boards, permissions, governance structures, and workflows
  • Serve as an Agile Coach for Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe teams
    , promoting Agile best practices
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Coach Product Owners and teams on backlog management, prioritization, and user story development
  • Monitor and support sprint delivery through JIRA or Azure Dev Ops boards
  • Identify, elevate, and help remove delivery impediments and risks
  • Promote Agile maturity, self-organization, and continuous improvement across teams
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies across multiple products and stakeholders
  • Track and communicate Agile delivery metrics including velocity, predictability, and team performance
  • Foster collaboration between technology teams, product leadership, and business stakeholders
  • Support enterprise Agile transformation initiatives and governance frameworks
  • Create and maintain product status reports aligned with PMO standards
Required Skills / Education
  • 5+ years of JIRA Administration experience
    , including board configuration, workflow design, permissions, and governance
  • 3+ years of Agile coaching experience supporting Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe teams
  • Strong expertise with enterprise Agile tooling
    , including JIRA (primary) and exposure to Azure Dev Ops
  • Experience establishing Agile governance standards and consistent workflows across teams
  • Demonstrated ability to coach Scrum teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting delivery execution
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership coaching skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in banking or financial services environments
  • Knowledge of enterprise Agile transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with Agile performance metrics, reporting, and PMO governance
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology teams
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to pass a credit check as part of the onboarding process
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required
