Job Description
We are seeking askilled
Sr.Data Scientist to join Richmond National Insurance Company. Asa Data Scientist , you willwork closely with the Director of Data & Innovation overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of ourdataproductsbyensuring their availability, reliability, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, includingbusinessstakeholders,data engineers,business analysts, and software engineers, to develop innovative data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Data Science Infrastructure :
Contribute to building and maintainingrobustand scalableclouddatascienceinfrastructure, includingMLOps,building machine learningpipelinesto support training, validation and monitoring ofmodels.
Model Development:
Develop custom MLmodels, deep learning models, algorithms, and fine tune foundational models.
Performance Optimization:
Implement processes and tools tomonitor the performance and accuracy of model strained.
Data Security:
Collaborate with thedataand IT leadership team to implement data privacy and security measures, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understandtheorganization’sneeds and deliverbusinesssolutions,leveraging company data tosupporttheirrequirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies,algorithms,and best practices in data science.
Proactively introduce new tools and techniques to improve processes and efficiency while developing and maintaining the models.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation ofML/AI pipelines, workflows, and algorithms, ensuring clear documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience (5+years) as aData Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer or similar role, preferably in the insuranceor financial industry or a similar domain, with at least 3 years as a Data Scientist.
- Strong experience inmachine learning, statistical modeling,and artificial intelligence.
- Strong data analytical skills using SQL, Python, Excel etc.
- Experience in using
Language Models,NLP models, Vision Language Models for various textunderstandingand document understanding use cases. - Good understandingofdata modeling, ETL development, and data integration techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python,Java, or Scala, and experience with SQL and database technologies.
- Experience in AWS ML/AI services and tools such as Sagemaker, Bedrock.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical,problem-solving skills andstrongattention to detail.
At the time of posting, the expected base salary range for this role is $120,000-$130,000annually. Additionally, this position is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program. Actual compensation will be determined by many factors, including but not limited to, location, education, certifications, qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, business need, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
