Thriveworks is currently seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Short Pump, VA. Clinicians must be licensed and living in the state where they practice.
This is a Fee for Service (W2) position. The salary range is $130,000–$187,000 per year based on 25–35 clinical hours per week.
To maintain safety and best practices, Thriveworks does not push or incentivize the use of stimulant medications; they are offered as an option based on client symptoms and diagnosis. Substance use disorders are not treated directly; referrals are made to in‑person providers when needed.
We expect NPs to provide care to a diverse population with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. Practitioners work with adults and adolescents, with future expansion across the lifespan.
Responsibilities- Make psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in both in-person and telemedicine capacities
- Provide care to clients aged 14 and older
- Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms as needed
- Create and collaborate on care plans with clients
- Complete and administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools for clients
- Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines
- Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services at various sites
- Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Board Certification (required)
- Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the state (required)
- Understanding of Advanced
MD (AMD) EMR is a plus - At least 1 year of psychiatric practice (required), with 3 years of experience considered a plus
- Clinicians must be licensed and live in the state where they practice
- Completion of in-house training on ADHD treatment standards and a certification exam is required
