Description:
Job Type: Locum to Perm
Coverage
Location:
Multiple urgent care facilities in the Richmond area
Dates of Coverage: 3 days per week as soon as credentialed until a permanent provider is hired
Schedule: Clinics are open 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM
Providers are expected to see all patients who arrive during operating hours
Average number of patients per day varies by clinic and can be as high as 50 during peak seasons
Duties include laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, minor burn management, skin lesion care, orthopedic injury stabilization, splinting and casting, joint reduction, diagnostic point-of-care testing, and x-ray interpretation
Point-of-care lab interpretation includes reviewing tests for strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose levels
Additional duties involve anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery for epistaxis management, cerumen impaction removal, and administration of nebulizer treatments for airway support
Documentation is completed using electronic medical records systems
Candidates must have a clean background with no malpractice or licensing issues for consideration
