• Solid understanding and extensive working experience with UML 1.5/2.0 standards.
• Solid understanding of the .NET Architecture framework and strong .NET-based development and implementation experience.
• Understands multi-process applications housed on different servers; familiar with SOA, state machines, rules engines (e.g., RETE-based products, OPS5, etc.), and workflow engines.
• Excellent ability to research, evaluate and recommend technical solutions including open source and commercial–off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
• Ability to formulate solutions and courses of action from small pieces of information.
• Technical knowledge should also include Soap, Web Services, XML, XSLT, MSMQ, Microsoft Application Blocks, and SQL Server 2005.
• Skillful in identifying architectural risks.

• Can pull from canonical architectures (GoF, SOA patterns) to find the best solution for the problem at hand.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years relevant IT experience.

Visual Basic 6, and ability to re-engineer an existing Visual Basic 6 system into C#.

Demonstrate the skills necessary to design & develop high-quality applications using SDLC development models.

• Independently work on all SDLC phases.
• Analyze business system requirements and design technical solutions based on those requirements.
• Develop and support new software applications.
• Design, document, test, and implement application features and enhancements.
• Contribute to software development process standards.
• Assist in development of automated test scripts, project builds and installation programs for the applications.
• Participate in code reviews and unit testing.

• Four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum three years of experience in programming.
• Experience with custom program development against a SQL Server database.
• Experience working within a systems development lifecycle methodology.
• Knowledge of all aspects of the software development process.
• Understanding of Visual Basic 6 and ability to re-engineer into C#.
• Experience programming in C#.
• Experience and expertise with relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Understanding of Visual C and Visual C++.
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and technical skills.
• Experience with distributed, multi-tier systems.
• Significant experience with analysis, requirements definition, data modeling, programming supervision and project management skills.
