We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Tax Manager, this role will support all aspects of the corporate tax function, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, business leaders, and external advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax requirements. This position offers broad exposure across the organization and is ideal for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to gather information required for annual and quarterly tax provision calculations and federal, state, local, and international tax compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation, analysis, and documentation of ASC 740 income tax provisions, including permanent and temporary differences, tax disclosures, and related reporting requirements.
  • Support research and development (R&D) tax credit studies by coordinating data collection, performing reconciliations, preparing supporting schedules, and assisting with applicable state tax credit filings.
  • Prepare and analyze tax calculations related to domestic and international tax matters, including foreign research and development cost calculations.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of federal and state income tax work papers to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial reporting.
  • Review state income tax apportionment schedules, tax returns, and supporting documentation prepared by external tax advisors.
  • Support tax audits and examinations by gathering requested documentation, coordinating responses, and working with internal and external stakeholders throughout the audit process.
  • Maintain and improve tax processes, documentation, and internal controls, including the execution of SOX compliance activities.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assist with evaluating their impact on the organization.
  • Participate in special tax projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification or progress toward obtaining a CPA is preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740, U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, and corporate tax accounting.
  • Experience with tax technology and data analytics tools such as Alteryx is preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP/accounting systems; exposure to Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize large datasets.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
