Administrator of Architechtural Research; Administrator IV Supervisor

The Maryland Historical Trust seeks a full-time Administrator of Architectural Research to oversee the Architectural Research Unit within the Office of Research, Survey, and Registration. The position involves directing planning, development, and implementation of programs including the National Register of Historic Places and statewide survey program, supervising staff, administering federal grants, and providing technical assistance to local and state agencies. This supervisory role ensures that architectural research aligns with MHT's mission of preserving and interpreting Maryland's cultural heritage.

• Six years of administrative staff or professional work (or equivalent substitutions with education or military service)
• One year of professional work experience with research, writing, or teaching at an academic institution, historic organization, museum, or professional institution
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, or closely related field
• Knowledge of Maryland architectural history and analysis of historic building technology
• Meets Secretary of Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards in History and/or Architectural History
