Position: Teacher, Primary School (EX) (2026-2027) - Monsignor Slade Catholic School, Glen Burnie MD
Monsignor Slade Catholic School, located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Primary School Teacher for immediate hire (K-2nd). This is a 10-month position that includes eligibility for benefits. The selected candidate will be assigned a dedicated daily classroom aide to provide instructional and classroom support under the teacher's direction. Primary School teachers are responsible for teaching all core subjects within a self-contained classroom and play a vital role in fostering both the academic and social development of young learners.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong instructional skills, a nurturing and student-centered approach, and a commitment to supporting the growth and development of young children. Essential Functions

• Provides grade-appropriate instructional programs for students that adhere to the school's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
• Develops lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan curriculum.
• Observe and assess student progress, keep detailed records observing student behaviors and academics, and share with parents.
• Communicate in a clear, professional, and timely manner with parents and colleagues.
• Support the mission of the school and the Catholic church within instructional practices.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in Elementary education or related field)
• Current MSDE certification or ability to achieve required certification within two years of start date.
• Experience in student teaching or classroom teaching at the elementary school level.
• Familiarity with a variety of technology tool to enrich and differentiate instruction.
• Practicing Catholic preferred.

Range: $48,000 - $70,000, Annualized
