About the RoleEDT is seeking a Field Engineer - Corrosion/Cathodic Protection for a full-time, on-site position serving the Washington DC-Baltimore Area. This hands-on role focuses on advanced corrosion control testing, cathodic protection evaluation, and non-destructive testing in water and wastewater infrastructure environments.
Responsibilities- Conduct field testing and advanced cathodic protection evaluations
- Perform corrosion control testing and corrosivity evaluations
- Execute non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures
- Support condition assessment testing for infrastructure projects
- Work at heights and perform confined space entry as needed
- Provide technical support and documentation for project teams
- Collaborate with engineering staff on corrosion mitigation strategies
- NACE CP1 Certification (Cathodic Protection Level
1) - Required - Comfortable working at heights and in confined space environments
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively with project teams
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the DC-Baltimore region
- NACE CP1 Certification (Cathodic Protection Level
1) - Required - Comfortable working at heights and in confined space environments

- NACE CP2 Certification (Cathodic Protection Level
2) - candidates with CP2 will be prioritized - Experience in water/wastewater industry
- OSHA safety training: confined space entry, hazardous operations, general construction
- CIP Certification (NACE Coating Inspector Program)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Pay Range: Compensation will be determined based on experience, certifications (CP1, CP2, NDT, etc.), and qualifications.
