Job Summary

The Project Engineer is a key team member managing and executing large-scale heavy-highway and heavy-civil construction projects, spanning oversight, stakeholder communication, risk management, and reporting using specialized software tools.

  • Oversee and refine project plans using Oracle P6 for scheduling and critical path analysis.
  • Ensure project milestones and objectives are met, adapting plans as needed.
  • Lead collaborative efforts with project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Use Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, One Drive) for communication and reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy of project documentation and reporting.
  • Use Microsoft Power BI for advanced reporting and data analysis.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, including clients, agencies, and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular, transparent project updates and address concerns promptly.
  • Lead budgeting and cost management using Excel and Viewpoint Vista ERP.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
  • Ensure all project aspects comply with quality standards and regulations.
  • Use Autodesk AutoCAD or Bentley Micro Station to verify design specifications.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks through problem-solving.
  • Develop contingency plans to keep projects on track through unforeseen events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy-highway or heavy-civil construction, with a proven track record in a similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI), Oracle P6, and AutoCAD or Micro Station.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure in both field and office settings.
