Job Responsibilities- Design, maintain, and support operations and maintenance activities of a large enclave comprised of hardware, software, and network components, including server architecture, virtual machines, managed switches, NAS, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Develop and carry out strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture and technology with minimal impact.
- Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to agency standard solutions.
- Perform network administration tasks including installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices, configuring routing protocols, troubleshooting multi‑hop connectivity, throughput, and latency, and setting up firewalls.
- Maintain secure infrastructure and handle vulnerability corrections, data security, compliance, backups, and recovery. Maintain SSPs, STE/STN requirements via RMF, Netseer, SEAR logging, patching, IAVMs, McAfee, and UAM.
- Provide user‑level support, including interacting with system‑savvy developers and analysts, resolving network, computer, and virtual system issues and anomalies.
- Maintain enclave documentation (network diagram, system names, IP addresses, barcodes, etc.) and provide monthly activity reports including system outages.
- Deploy and maintain nginx; use system monitoring platforms such as OpenVAS, Prometheus, and Grafana; enforce SELinux and FIPS compliance.
- Use Latte Art/Biscotti, Netseer, and SEAR logging.
- Bachelor's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Experience with Docker, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Ansible, Git Lab, Red Hat Satellite, and working knowledge of software‑defined networks is desirable.
