$110,000 – $120,000 per year

Provides network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls.

• Design, architect, and support enterprise network security boundaries.
• Implement datacenter virtualization and packet capture solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, and other routing/switching equipment.
• Manage firewall configurations on ASA, FWSM, and stateful devices.
• Implement and maintain L2/L3 protocols and access controls.
• Utilize ticketing systems such as Remedy to track tasks.
• Perform on-call duties and support live call environments.
• Configure virtualization products including VMware and Solaris containers.
• Use Atlassian Tool Suite for documentation and collaboration.

• Three years of demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, and security, with or without a degree (five years without a degree).
• Experience with datacenter network design, installation, and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols, L2/L3 protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.
• Experience with Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, ASA, FWSM, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, Fiber Channel SAN, and VPN (IPSEC).
• Physical installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices.
• Able to support on-call requirements and work in a live call environment.
• Proficient in virtual networking technologies including VMware and Solaris containers.
