About the Firm

We are an established law firm in the Glen Burnie area seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney who is excited by the opportunity to help build and grow our practice. This role is ideal for a client-focused attorney who combines excellent legal skills with strong intake and consultation abilities and a proven record of converting prospective clients into retained matters.

Position Overview

The Family Law Attorney will manage family law matters from intake through resolution while playing a key role in developing the firm’s family law practice. This includes conducting consultations, converting leads, delivering exceptional client service, and contributing to practice growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a full range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, property division, and post-judgment issues
  • Conduct client intakes and consultations with a demonstrated ability to convert leads into retained clients
  • Provide clear, compassionate, and strategic legal counsel to clients during emotionally complex matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trials
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on the development and growth of the family law practice
  • Maintain accurate case files, billing records, and compliance with firm procedures
  • Build strong client relationships that generate referrals and repeat business
  • Manage and mentor staff
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of direct family law experience
  • Active Maryland Bar license in good standing
  • Proven success in intake, consultations, and lead conversion
  • Strong knowledge of Maryland family law statutes and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage cases independently while contributing to team goals
  • High level of professionalism, empathy, and client-service orientation
  • Comfort working with intake systems, CRMs, or client tracking tools
Candidates with a significant portable book of business are strongly encouraged to apply; compensation for such candidates will be structured to align with the size and performance of the book of business, and may exceed the stated base salary range#J-18808-Ljbffr
