Position Summary The Brokerage Compliance Analyst supports company-wide adherence to U.S. Customs and international trade regulations. This role assists in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of import compliance programs, policies, and procedures. The Analyst works closely with operations, logistics, legal, and finance teams to help mitigate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain efficient import processes across all locations.
Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and maintenance of corporate import compliance programs and procedures
Assist in ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, including ISF filings, HTS classifications, and other applicable federal requirements
Review import documentation and customs entries for accuracy and completeness
Conduct routine compliance audits and documentation reviews to identify discrepancies or potential risks
Assist in classification determinations, license reviews, and recordkeeping requirements
Monitor import transactions and escalate potential compliance issues to management
Prepare reports and maintain records related to compliance activities and key performance metrics
Support internal training efforts by providing guidance and resources to import and operational teams
Research regulatory updates and communicate relevant changes to stakeholders
Assist with investigations of compliance issues and support corrective action implementation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance in daily import operations and new business initiatives
Education
Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required
Experience
Must be a Licensed Customs Broker3-5 years of experience in import operations, customs brokerage, or trade compliance3-5 years Customs House Broker (CHB) Management Working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import/export laws, and international trade compliance
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of HTS classification, customs entry requirements, and basic licensing concepts (e.g., EAR and ITAR)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation review
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency with compliance software and transportation management systems

Salary Range: $65,000 to $90,000 (depending on skills, training, experience, and geographic location)
