CNC Machinist

ADDMAN Precision is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join our Glen Burnie, MD team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-precision components supporting aerospace, defense, and industrial programs. This position plays a critical role in delivering quality parts that meet exacting customer and regulatory requirements.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and requires U.S. citizenship.
What You'll Do
- Set up, operate, and perform daily maintenance on CNC manufacturing machines
- Produce high-quality parts in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Follow all safety policies and strictly adhere to proper use of PPE
- Select and properly use tooling, fixtures, and inspection equipment
- Perform in-process and final inspections, verifying dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect sizes and geometries down to tight tolerances (as fine as .0002")
- Assist in developing efficient and repeatable machining methods
- Identify and resolve machining or process issues, escalating as needed
- Support continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced machinists when applicable
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision

- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Working knowledge of machining tolerances and quality standards
- Commitment to a safety-first culture
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

- Experience with manual mills and lathes
- Programming or editing at the machine control
- Experience with multi-axis or complex machining
- Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
- Experience mentoring junior machinists
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
- Safety-conscious and process-driven
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Team-oriented with clear communication skills
- Location: Glen Burnie, MD
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
- Compensation: $22.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- ITAR Requirement: U.S. citizenship required
- Manufacturing shop environment requiring PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toe shoes
- Exposure to typical shop noise, machinery, and ambient temperatures
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Walking on level surfaces throughout the shift
- Reaching above shoulder height and below the waist as needed
- Lifting and handling materials using proper lifting techniques
- Ability to work in confined spaces while following safety protocols
- Ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation
