Systems Engineer
A leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Systems Integrator to design, develop, and implement integrations across a broad range of operational, manufacturing, and enterprise systems.
This position offers a flexible work arrangement combining time in the office, visits to manufacturing facilities, and remote work. Candidates should ideally be located within approximately 50 miles of a major company facility in Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Alabama, or Maryland
.
The Systems Integrator will play an important role in connecting plant-floor automation systems with enterprise applications and data platforms while helping manufacturing teams troubleshoot and improve their automation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between manufacturing systems, enterprise applications, databases, and data platforms
. - Work directly with stakeholders to understand business requirements, integration needs, and data exchange requirements.
- Translate operational and business requirements into scalable integration architectures and workflows.
- Evaluate the feasibility, scope, and estimated timelines of new automation and integration projects.
- Develop reliable error-handling and recovery strategies to create stable, low-maintenance integration solutions.
- Monitor emerging technologies, system life cycles, and technology obsolescence and communicate potential impacts to the organization.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing facilities by troubleshooting automation and system integration issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT, Operations, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams on technology initiatives.
- Support organizational change and strategic technology initiatives.
- Stay current with new technologies and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities and corporate locations as needed, with travel expected to be approximately 30% during the first year and up to 20% thereafter

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems
, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered. - 5+ years of experience working with automation systems and system integrations.
- Experience with manufacturing control systems and SCADA platforms
. - Experience with Siemens controls and AVEVA System Platform
. - Strong programming experience with Microsoft .NET/C#.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL and REST APIs
. - Familiarity with ERP systems
, preferably SAP. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with statistical analysis, including:
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Regression analysis
- Process capability analysis
- Historical data analysis
This role includes a combination of office, manufacturing, and industrial environments. Employees may spend extended periods working at a computer while also regularly visiting production areas and manufacturing facilities.
The position may involve exposure to moving machinery, elevated work areas, dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, electrical equipment, and elevated noise levels. Employees are expected to follow all applicable safety procedures and utilize required personal protective equipment.
