Job Description
Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System, and a leading provider of comprehensive care to women and men who experience breast cancer and disease at the Aiello Breast Center, is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient clinic in Glen Burnie, MD. In this position, you will enhance and improve the care for our high‑risk breast patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Full‑time weekday schedule
- No call coverage or weekend or after‑hours duties
- Experience as an NP is required with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Oncology or Women’s Health experience is preferred
- Evaluate, assess and manage a wide variety of patients at high risk for cancer and benign breast disease, including genetic evaluations, family history, breast pain, high risk lesions, pre‑cancer abnormal mammograms and surveillance
- Independently provide care in an outpatient setting, seeing approximately 10–15 patients including new patients and full up‑care
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including breast surgeons, general surgeons, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and compassionate support and ancillary staff

- Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program required
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Two (2) years of proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner
- Ideal candidate will have background experience in treating breast cancer patients, oncology, or a long‑standing work history as a women’s health nurse practitioner
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required
- Current NRP and PALS certifications
- DEA and CDS eligible
