Salary: $30.95 per hour

Annual Budgeted Amount: $40,033.83

Nature of Work:

Under the supervision of the appropriate School Health Nurse, this position provides one-on-one care for special needs students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. This position may require accompanying the students on the bus to and from school. This position makes nursing judgments and performs technical procedures within the scope of his/her practice/licensure to meet the health needs of students. Responsibilities may also include a variety of health tasks and clerical work in assisting students with special health requirements, to include lifting, positioning, transferring and aiding the bodily functions.

Orientation and training are provided.

Education:

Determined by the Maryland Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Practical Nurses.

Experience:

None

License or Certification:

• Must possess a current license as a Practical Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Driver’s License Required
