Position DutiesThe nursing program invites applications for per-course affiliate faculty to serve as clinical instructors in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program.
Clinical instructors follow established syllabi adhering to accreditation standards and are issued course-specific contracts for each semester they teach. The successful candidate will instruct students in a clinical setting in Baltimore, MD, such as Mercy Medical Center or surrounding area hospitals. Teaching assignments will align with program needs and instructor expertise. Exact days of the teaching assignment vary depending on the clinical schedule of the course.
CompensationCompensation Range: $1,333 - $2,250 per credit hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications- MSN, DNP, or PhD in Nursing
- Current unencumbered RN license in the state of Maryland
- Two years of experience as an RN
- Clinical expertise in subject area to be taught:
Health Assessment, Fundamentals, Medical‑Surgical, Pediatrics, Maternal‑Child, Mental Health, Community Health, Transition to Practice
- Preference will be given to the candidate with successful teaching experience at university or college level
- Demonstrated commitment to the profession as evidenced in record of professional leadership or public service.
Successful candidates will be subject to a pre‑employment background check.
