As a Machine Repair Mechanic, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing essential automotive equipment. You'll work directly with clients, ensuring their shops are equipped with safe and fully operational machinery. This role is perfect for someone with mechanical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Install automotive equipment such as lifts, compressors, and repair tools.
- Perform maintenance and service tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Conduct on‑site assessments to determine installation and repair needs.
- Work independently on service calls and installations while maintaining professional communication with customers.
- Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance recommendations.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Manage tools, equipment, and inventory needed for daily service operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certifications are a plus).
- Proven experience installing and servicing automotive equipment, including lifts and compressors.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in automotive shop environments.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) and work in various conditions, including tight spaces and outdoor environments.
