Blue Dot Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an HVAC Lead Installer to oversee new residential and light commercial system installs. In this hands-on role, you'll lead install crews, lay out and set equipment, run refrigerant and condensate lines, set ductwork, and ensure start-up and commissioning meet code and manufacturer standards. You'll diagnose installation issues, mentor junior technicians, and model safe work practices.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable explaining system operation to homeowners while representing Blue Dot's commitment to reliability and quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate new residential and light commercial HVAC system installations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and manufacturer specifications
  • Install and secure equipment, ductwork, refrigerant and condensate lines to code
  • Perform start-up, testing, and commissioning of new HVAC systems
  • Ensure all work meets safety, code, and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues on-site
  • Train and mentor junior installers and helpers
  • Communicate clearly with customers about work performed and system operation
  • Complete required job documentation and verify materials used
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and job sites in clean, safe condition
