Repair Value Stream Technician

Location: Lanham, MD 20706 (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay rate: $25/hr. on w2

About the Role

We are seeking a Repair Value Stream Technician to join our client's Supply Chain team supporting communication technology for U.S. Federal Government customers. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, programming, upgrading, testing, and documenting two-way radio communication equipment while ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and upgrade two-way radio communication equipment.
• Program and configure radios according to customer specifications.
• Perform operational testing and quality validation using RF and electronic test equipment.
• Operate and maintain test equipment, including Digital Volt Meters (DVMs), Service Monitors, and Watt Meters.
• Document repair activities, serial numbers, model information, test results, and repair records accurately.
• Perform hardware upgrades and depot-level repair activities.
• Clean, inspect, and prepare repaired equipment for final shipment.
• Follow established repair procedures, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to meet repair throughput, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electronics Engineering Technology (EE), or equivalent technical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
• Knowledge of RF communications, electronics theory, and two-way radio systems

• Hands-on experience using:
• • Digital Volt Meters (DVMs)
  • Service Monitors
  • Watt Meters
• Experience with radio programming, diagnostics, hardware upgrades, and repair.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Excel, and Google Docs.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow established technical procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
