Intuitive Machines is seeking a Flight Software Developer to join our Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) team. This position will support real-time navigation flight software development, HWIL navigation sensor integration, performance, and testing. The applicant will be located on-site at one of the IM main offices in Houston, TX or Glen Burnie, MD. The candidate will work in a cross-functional team on the design, development, manufacture, test, and on-orbit operation of flight and ground support software for the Lunar Data Network relay satellites.
Responsibilities- Real-time flight software development and testing
- Integration and test of flight software in software- and hardware-in-the-loop environments
- Development of software- and hardware-in-the-loop environments
- MS or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience preferred
- Experience with C, C++, and Python
- Experience with real-time software
- Experience with GN&C hardware including IMU, Star Trackers, GPS, LIDAR and Op Nav
- Experience with SWIL and HWIL testing and integration
- Experience with GN&C sensor testing, planning, and modelling
- Experience supporting a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience with spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics
- Experience with JIRA and Agile processes
- Experience with Git version control preferred
- Experience with navigation sensor hardware, Kalman filters, LIDAR, real-time software, Monte Carlo analysis, C/C++, Python, Trick, Bash, GEONS, CSPICE, GMAT, Monte
- Experience in relative navigation, image processing, and feature detection techniques
- Experience developing high fidelity, hardware/software-in-the-loop PNT or GN&C simulations
