An innovative medical technology company is seeking an Algorithm Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team. This individual will play a key role in developing advanced algorithms that support next-generation healthcare technologies used in regulated clinical environments.
Working alongside software, systems, electrical, and product engineering teams, the successful candidate will help design, implement, and validate algorithms that transform complex sensor data into actionable insights while supporting the development of innovative medical products.
This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging technical problems from early concept through commercial release in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize algorithms for signal processing, data analysis, and system performance.
- Develop robust algorithms using large datasets to improve product accuracy, reliability, and usability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define system requirements and algorithm performance targets.
- Analyze experimental and production data to identify opportunities for algorithm enhancements.
- Support system integration, verification, and validation activities throughout product development.
- Create simulation tools and analytical models to evaluate algorithm performance.
- Document algorithm development, testing methodologies, and technical findings.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to continuous product improvements through data-driven decision making.
- Support technical investigations and root cause analysis when required.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience developing algorithms for complex hardware and software systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar languages.
- Experience working with data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning techniques.
- Familiarity with sensor data processing and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience working in a regulated product development environment.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and product development life cycles.
- Experience supporting verification and validation activities.
- Familiarity with embedded systems or real-time software development.
- Experience with data visualization and algorithm performance evaluation tools.
- A collaborative mindset with strong technical curiosity.
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems using data-driven approaches.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality engineering practices.
- Experience balancing innovation with structured development processes.
