Overview
Order Processor will effectively and efficiently process incoming orders, inventory checks, and stocking/maintaining warehouse shelving. Candidates must be comfortable with counting, basic math skills and have great attention to detail. This is a safety sensitive position.
Primary Responsibilities- Maintain an accurate inventory and conduct cycle counts.
- Read work orders or receive and listen to oral instructions to determine work assignments daily.
- Efficiently use RF device and/or paperwork and record amount of materials received to complete all orders.
- Open multiple source cases at a time with appropriate cutting technique (safety first).
- Marks materials with identifying information and research product discrepancies as they arise.
- Read customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
- Stage merchandise in correct location for consolidation.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
- Complete paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment.
- Crosstrain as needed to learn all warehouse functions.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Verifying and counting of product/pieces.
- Operation of warehouse equipment including:
Reach Truck and Forklift.
Training and
Experience:
Selected individuals will be required to be certified within a set time to operate powered material handling equipment, ability to lift 75 pounds repetitively for short periods. Must be 18 years of age to operate a forklift.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures. Knowledge of spelling, grammar, and basic arithmetic. Ability to begin work at the start of the designated shift. Ability to work flexible hour schedule including extended hours as required.
Working Conditions: Warehouse work requires standing, walking on a concrete floor over 90% of the workday. Overall temperatures will reflect local weather conditions. Warehouse conditions are dusty. If operating a tow motor getting on and off the equipment will be necessary throughout the workday.
