Originate, manage and expand an existing loan portfolio of business banking clients while also assisting bank partners with the development of new relationships. Business banking clients are those that generally have revenues under $2,500,000 and loan needs under $500,000. It is expected that the role be proactive in providing financial solutions to both existing and prospective clients. Also responsible for developing sound and profitable business relationships, assessing credit and exceeding client needs and expectations while complying with regulatory requirements.
This position will be based out of our new branch location in Glen Carbon, IL.

- Actively source, market and originate new client relationships for businesses generating revenues under $2,500,000.
- Identify business opportunities for commercial depository and treasury management services in conjunction with routine calling habits; obtain requested depository and/or analysis statements to analyze with the Treasury Management Office.
- Interview new applicants. Request specified information for loan applications including but not financial statements, tax returns, depository statements, references and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan applications. Correspond with or interview applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
- Work closely with the portfolio manager to underwrite and communicate loan decisions. Portfolio manager will take the lead in underwriting the loan and loan documentation. BBO will help coordinate the loan closing process and ensure all documents are properly executive.
- Assist a portfolio manager in servicing an existing portfolio of business banking relationships by working closely with clients, focusing on relationship retention.
- Work closely with Branch managers and lobby staff to cross-sell additional bank products and services.
- Frequently represent the bank in the business community, actively develop relationships with business owners, C-level executives, COIs, etc. and build network of prospective bank clients.
- Recommend credits outside target market to the next level in accordance with established practices.
- Assist clients with inquiries and information requests and resolve complaints relating to loan products and services offered.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with loan businesses and other organizations to provide information regarding the lending programs and policies.

- Service cash management needs of non-borrowing customers.
- Maintain education and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences and workshops.
There are no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four-year college or university in the field of business, including specific courses in accounting, finance, and economics plus additional lending-related experience; or eight to ten years related banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICALSKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHERSKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have the ability to operate the following equipment: telephone, 10-key calculator, personal computer and printer, copy machine, fax machine.
Must have working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and database software.
