Position: Division 8 Project Manager in Glen Carbon

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Division 8 Detailer / Project Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid role blends technical detailing work with hands‑on project management responsibilities. You will be responsible for interpreting construction documents, preparing submittals, managing procurement, coordinating delivery schedules, and communicating with clients and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review architectural drawings and specifications to produce accurate hardware schedules and door/frame submittals.
  • Prepare and submit complete submittal packages for approval.
  • Manage RFIs, change orders, and addenda throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Order doors, frames, and hardware from manufacturers and track lead times.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and jobsite requirements with field teams and GC contacts.
  • Maintain project budgets and track material and labor costs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, and ADA requirements.
Qualifications
  • 2–5+ years of experience in commercial construction, architectural hardware, or Division 8 project coordination.
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings and specs.
  • Familiarity with door/frame/hardware manufacturers and scheduling practices.
  • Experience with ERP/order entry software (e.g., Comsense, Procore, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Detail‑driven and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
Skills
  • Knowledge of hardware sets and ANSI/BHMA standards.
  • Experience with fire‑rated, access control, and specialty hardware coordination.
  • Ability to create hardware takeoffs and door/frame elevations.
  • Previous experience in a smaller firm or hands‑on role a plus.
