Job Overview
Family First Homecare provides in‑home nursing care to children with life‑long health conditions. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high‑quality, in‑home nursing care to pediatric patients in Paris, IL. Pay: $28-$36 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Provide care within scope of practice and licensure.
- Maintain updated clinical record for each patient and meet documentation deadlines.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services and consult with physicians regarding patient care changes.
- Mentor new employees during orientation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on care needs.
- Participate in Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement (QAPI).
- Attend mandatory training and in‑services.
- Submit required personnel file documentation on time.
- Adhere to compliance, ethics, confidentiality, and professional communication standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- LPN/LVN degree.
- Unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of employment or multi‑state license via the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
- At least 1 year of demonstrated experience.
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance (if required).
Clear background screening. - Working knowledge of Nurse Practice Acts and current CPR certificate.
- Clear Hepatitis B and TB screening (state requirements).
Preferred
- State‑specific:
Illinois – no driver license requirement;
HepB screening as part of onboarding. - Florida – standard requirements.
- Pennsylvania – additional background checks and TB screening.
Language proficiency in English (verbal and written) required.

Work performed in patients’ homes; may involve lifting up to 35 pounds. Training may occur in office setting.
