As a Hospice & Home Care Sales Liaison, you will impact the lives of our patients by:
- Analyzing the potential of the company’s success to determine target markets.
- Visiting doctor offices, hospitals, assisted‑living facilities, skilled‑nursing facilities, and other potential referral sources to present agency credentials and obtain patient referrals.
- Analyzing the company’s organization to determine its strengths and weaknesses.
- Analyzing past and current marketing data.
- Analyzing patient‑company relationships.
- Developing a marketing plan, identifying priorities, and setting a reasonable timeline.
- Implementing the marketing plan while staying within the established timeline.
- Reviewing and evaluating the analysis and plan on an established basis.
- Providing coordination of referral through all Dover Health services.
- Attending IDG meetings, as appropriate.
- Serving as a first contact from clinical referral sources.
- Providing initial informational meetings with patients and/or families.
- Assisting office staff with obtaining signatures and updates.
- Providing community outreach and education.
- Participating in discharge planning, as needed.
- Assessing patient and family members’ ability to cope with the patient’s dying.
- Acting as a consultant to health team members, helping them understand the social, emotional, and environmental factors related to the patient’s health problems.
- Helping patients and families utilize resources within the community.
- At least one year of experience in home health or hospice sales/marketing.
- Clinical license and experience preferred.
- Licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order and a clear driving record. A current and valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current liability auto insurance are required.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally overnight.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the job, including seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching, kneling, or crawling, and the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs independently and up to 200 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work well with others, take direction from management, and take initiative—willing to go above and beyond to ensure patients’ needs are met and they are comfortable in their living environment.
