Position Summary

Retail role at Sam's Club with responsibilities spanning member service, checkout operations, product promotion, and operational safety. Provides guidance on self-service technology, processes member purchases, and handles payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies. Maintains safety standards and conducts safety sweeps.

What you'll do
  • Provide member service, maintain the checkout area, resolve member issues and concerns, and promote Sam's Club products and services.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and organize merchandise in designated zones while maintaining a safe shopping environment.
  • Verify memberships, acknowledge members, identify needs, and assist with transporting items and safekeeping of assets and property according to company policies.
  • Process member purchases; assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges per company policies for different membership and payment types.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling merchandise and report unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Assist with training of Member Frontline Services associates on processes and procedures; deliver training on new technology and program rollouts; provide continuous learning opportunities.
  • Maintain documentation, logs, and required records; execute emergency response procedures; ensure compliance with security and safety practices.
  • Support area maintenance by handling returns appropriately, zoning areas, arranging merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics; practice Open Door Policy in executing business processes.
  • Complete work assignments by leveraging policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and opportunities for improvement; adapt to change and feedback.

Benefits and compensation
  • Salary:
    The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00*; actual rate will meet or exceed applicable minimum wage.
  • Additional compensation:
    Premiums may be paid from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances (schedule, facility, season, or work performed); multiple premiums may apply.
