Under limited direction, assist Center Supervisors in assigned administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the Center.
Responsibilities- Assist the Center Supervisor in all aspects of administrative responsibilities and maintaining highest standards of excellence in facility management. Manage office in Center Supervisor's absence.
- Research class history, provide justification, and work with supervisor to submit class requests following Centralized Scheduling procedures.
- Maintain Admin and Clerical Assistant procedures manuals. Train new employees, including Tier I registration for Admins in Colleague using Registration's procedures and policies.
- Complete security forms for access to college software programs for new employees, and forward to supervisor for approval.
- Research promotional items through vendor sites. Obtain quotes, and approvals. Input a request to obtain approval for a purchase order (PO) to place the order.
- Provide assistance to all faculty, students, and community members who use the facility.
- Assist in planning, publicizing and implementing hospitalities and other education and community events.
- Troubleshoot in all areas. Report vending issues and repair issues to the Business Services office, Contact the IT help desk with classroom or office computer issues. Contact Support Services for copier repair and paper supplies.
- Assist with registration.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Center Supervisor.
- Schedule room requests for meetings.
- Assist in planning, publicizing, and implementing student appreciation week as well as other education and community events.
- Schedule counseling appointments.
- Education
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in an office environment required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and keyboarding skills required.
- Two (2) years of experience in an academic environment preferred.
- IBM PC, multi-line telephone, calculator, typewriter, scanner, fax, copier, print-card machine, AV equipment, and defibrillator if necessary.
- General office environment.
- This position requires a background check and drug screen.
Starting pay begins at $20.14/hr based on experience. Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
