Superintendent – Ground Up Projects
Job DetailsSalary: $105,000 - $145,000 per year.
Position OverviewThe Superintendent is responsible for onsite leadership and execution of commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction throughout the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily field operations and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and onsite staff.
- Ensure projects progress safely, on schedule, and within quality expectations.
- Conduct regular site meetings and maintain clear communication with project teams.
- Enforce adherence to project specifications, plans, and company standards.
- Implement and monitor project safety protocols and compliance.
- Review and coordinate schedules, material deliveries, and labor allocation.
- Identify and address issues proactively to mitigate risks and delays.
- Support continuous improvement through effective problem‑solving and field leadership.
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Deep understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and onsite coordination.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents (plans, specifications).
- Commitment to safety standards and quality control.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and navigating project challenges.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to job sites.
- Experience with pre‑construction and construction management processes.
- Familiarity with design‑build and competitive bidding environments.
