Responsibilities
Seeking experienced LMT to teach a variety of courses in a basic massage therapy 700 hour program; emphasis on professionalism, anatomy, and pathology courses. Assignments vary semester to semester, 3–10 hours per week. Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face‑to‑face, on‑line, hybrid and/or blended formats.
In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Seeking an experienced LMT with the ability to teach several of the following topics: ethics, professional communication, kinesiology, pathophysiology, anatomical terminology, advanced massage techniques for specific conditions, and MBLEx Licensure Prep. Must be available 2–3 afternoons/evening per week for classes that run for 8 or 16 weeks. This position will be assigned 1–3 classes per semester (fall, spring, and summer) totaling between 32–96 clock hours each semester.
Qualifications- Master’s Degree Preferred.
- Prior teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum two years Massage Therapist; 5 or more years preferred.
